bits & bobs...

The sales began this week, which can only mean one thing... time for the bank account to take a beating.
Nirvana Tee - H&M - £7.99 - I love this tee so much, so easy to wear. I think i might save it for a while & wear it to V Festival later this summer, with some red denim shorts.
Elbow Pad Cardigan - Zara - £11.99 - This is another bargain. I don't know how to describe the material, apart from really flattering. Some people hate elbow pads & i think there have been a lot of cheap attempts on the high street this season, but i love this and will be wearing it to death!

Primark Tee - £8.00 - Primark have been impressing me lately. This top for example is the best thing i've bought in ages. Soooo many people have asked me if it is from Topshop. Although its a sheer material, its not see through. It also comes in Black and a dusky colour, would defiantly recommend you try one as they are so versatile!
Primark Sandals - £12.00 £4.00 - The shoes were simply a bargain i couldn't walk away from. I have already worn them with a black maxi, they're very comfy!

River Island was an absolute nightmare, i walked straight out. Yes nearly everything was on sale & yes if i had had more patience i probably could have found a few bargains. But it looked worse than a boot sale at 3pm, so i gave up :(

I did buy another few bits, but am going to spread them out over a few posts.
Anyone had some sale bargains? Link me :)

The Topshop Show Off...

Just a quick post to show you my new favorite lipstick. Show Off is a bright pink, perfect for summer. The colour lasts for ages and the formula is much creamier than i expected. They cost £8, which is a tad pricey (in my opinion), but seeing as you don't have to re-apply it throughout the day it lasts longer than most.  It is very similar to MAC's impassioned, so if your looking for a cheaper version i would defiantly recommend this one!

Anyone else tried a Topshop lipstick they would recommend? I would love to hear about them :-)
Hope your all enjoying the sunshine!

Monday Musings #6

The past week has consisted of -
conquering the fishtail plait, catching up on geordie shore (if you don't watch it i highly recommend you do!), tackling a mountain of school work and beginning a project on the correlation between social networking and social skills... blah blah blah

For some reason i didn't get paid this week, so my planned shopping trip has been delayed until Friday.
Oh & what has been going on with the weather in London recently? One minute I'm whacking out my denim shorts & the next I'm running for cover. I feel like the little robot in the picture above.
On a more positive note, i discovered Fleur De Force's on YouTube this week, she's wicked. You can watch her fishtail braid tutorial HERE.

Hope your all well, Jen xxx

PS - I'm currently planning a giveaway, so watch this space!! xxx

Monday Musings #5

Slightly different layout this week. I have been really ill so not been up to much this week. I did however come across two magazines that have impressive freebies...

(L-R) pencil end, liquid end of eyeliner, Poise tint, High Beam

COMPANY magazine is currently giving away a duo eyeliner. One end is a pencil and the other is liquid.  I have been wearing them today & they're not budging!
GLAMOUR magazine is currently giving away a choice of benefit products. I chose Poise Tint and High Beam. Poise is a lovely cheek stain and the colour literally lasts all day. I like rubbing a small amount of high beam on top to add a shimmer :-)

Both magazines cost £2, so i recommend you give them a go! Its a great way of trying out expensive products before taking the plunge!

I haven't been shopping in so long, so i decided to order this little beauty from ASOS. You can find it HERE. It came to a total of £25ish, which is so worth it as i will be wearing it constantly this summer. ASOS currently have 20% off for students with an NUS card and Free Delivery. Plus they have free returns, so there's no excuse not to treat yourself this week!

New fave nail polish. It is called 'Barbie Pink', something i would usually hate. Very similar formula to Barry M and only costs £1!!!
Had to add this motorbike picture i took on Sunday @ the MotoGP. You probably don't know that i love motorbike racing alot, so this weekend was a dream! (picture of the legend Valentino Rossi <3)

Hope your all well, Exams are pretty much over now, yaaaay!
